So glad you’re joining us at Healthy Bites and Bits!

Our goal is to bring together a collection of real food recipes and healthful DIY projects that inspire living healthier and happier lives. Everyone can join in – non-bloggers and bloggers – everyone! That means you! Do you have a wonderful family recipe, or a new creation that you know others would love? Then, please do! Let’s all share our creations and we can all learn something new from each other each week!

What is a recipe ‘link-up’? It’s sometimes referred to as a ‘blog hop’, but with Healthy Bits and Bits, we are not limited to just bloggers. Our ‘link-up’ is a collection of recipes from multiple locations/sites that have been submitted by multiple people or bloggers. Each food recipe or DIY project, when clicked on, will go to the site that it is posted on (to another blog or to LivingHealthynHappy.com’s Recipe site).

How does this work? What if I’m not a blogger?
Most blog hops only allow for other bloggers that have a website to link in. Here are Healthy Bites and Bits, we have a recipe submission site that allows anyone to join in on the fun!

Below are a few guidelines and ‘how to’ get started:

1. Please only link to posts covering nourishing and natural RECIPES: real food and natural DIY projects for personal care and home care. This can include, but is not limited to recipes of different dietary protocols or allergy restrictions such as WAP, GAPS, Paleo, gluten-free, dairy-free, egg-free, nut-free.

2. If you do post a recipe, don’t include any highly processed (i.e. white sugar & flour), packaged (i.e. boxes of mac and cheese) & chemical-filled (i.e. food dye, MSG) foods or ingredients. Recipes that promote wellness would be fabulous.

3. For non-bloggers (home chefs, creators, crafters, etc.): Please enter your recipe at Living Healthy ‘n’ Happy’s recipe submission site. It’s super easy, simply go here to start putting in a recipe. At the submission of your recipe, under the “NOTES” section write “would like to be included in blog hop”… or something to that effect and when the recipe is posted, it will also be put in the linkup. If you would like it to be included in the link-up at a later time, or forget to write the comment in the ‘notes’ section and you hit that ‘submit’ button, no worries, send an email to Judy at [email protected] to let her know and she’ll put it in the link-up for you.

 • What if you don’t have a picture of your recipe? We all know it helps to have a pretty picture in your submission… so, since this will be a weekly hop, take some pictures and when you are ready, submit your recipe at anytime on LivingHealthynHappy, and we’ll link it up for you (or you can if you prefer) into the next weeks hop.

4. For bloggers: Please update your post with a link back to that weeks particular Healthy Bites and Bits link and/or put the Healthy Bites and Bits badge (which is at the bottom of this page) on your post or site.  A link with “This post is linked to Healthy Bites and Bits at Living Healthy ‘n’ Happy” would be great.

5. Want your contribution to be featured the next week of Healthy Bits and Bits? For the top 3 links that are viewed the most and has followed the guidelines here (submit recipe through LivingHealthynHappy.com or put the link back in their post or show our pretty badge in your post or on your site) will be featured in the following weeks link-up.  Our badge can be grabbed below.

6. Show off your recipe!  We’ll be pinning to Pinterest boards the submissions to Healthy Bits and Bits that a.) follow the rules and b.) have awesome pictures that show off what you’ve posted. Come follow us and share the love.  And, a badge can be grabbed below.
